TOP 10 TIPS FOR GLOWING SUMMER SKIN

Ah, summer. It’s time to hit the beach and show off that new bikini. Skin is looking good, but a little glow wouldn’t hurt. Actually, the summer sun, salt water, chlorine, and air conditioning aren’t doing our skin any favors. Want to get summer glow instead of that irritating dry skin?  We’ll give you 10 tips for glowing summer skin!

Stay Hydrated

This is one of the easiest, yet least practiced ways to improve your skin! Just be sure to drink water throughout the day. If you feel like you’re too busy and always on-the-go, simply grab a bottle or water container that you can keep with you at all times. Bonus points if you can keep a facial spray bottle with you to help hydrate your skin directly.

Detox Your Skin

Our skin needs to be detoxed just like any other part of our body. One great tip is try a purifying mask a few times each week. This will help deep clean your skin, absorb excess shine, and it will uncover healthy, refreshed skin.

Take Some Vitamin C

We’re not just talking about supplements, although those can be useful too. Specifically, we suggest using a Vitamin C serum that can help renew your skin.

Include Alpha/beta Hydroxy Acids in Routine

If you are already exfoliating, that’s a great start, but your skin could always use a little boost. If you want brighter, smoother complexion, seek out skin care products with the following types of ingredients: Papaya Extract, Grapefruit Extract, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, and Salicylic Acid.

Apply That Eye Cream

As your skin is exposed to the sun, it will continue to thin your skin, and potentially cause wrinkles as well. Taking care of the skin around your eyes matters. It’s best to use a formula that’s more lightweight at night and to use a formula that’s a little bit more on the creamy side at nighttime.

It’s the best feeling ever when you wake up in the morning, and your eyes look plump and youthful. It’s generally advised to avoid the sun’s UVA/UVB rays, so take additional steps to protect your skin such as the next tip on our list.

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

The best way to keep your skin hydrated and glowing is to use sunscreen before going out into the sun. It’s also recommended that you use a little bit of night cream before going to bed. If you consistently moisturize your hands and body, you’ll eventually have silky-smooth, glowing skin.

If you want to take your moisturizing routine to the next level, try the 24K Gold Sonic Luminous Boost.  It’s a 2-in-1 treatment created to accelerate results with the simple click of a button.

Exfoliate Like Your Skin Depends On It

The way exfoliation works is by removing dead skin cells as well as surface impurities that could be clogging your pores. Doing this also helps to prevent future breakouts, and it can reduce the appearance of discoloration.

In addition, using the Supersonic Skin Scrubber is a great move. If you’re plagued by clogged pores and blackheads, dull or flaky patches, or congested skin, you’ll love the way this at-home version of the popular spa service will treat your skin.

Take Care of Your Hands and Feet

Sun damage comes in all kinds of ways. For some reason, many people seem to believe that their hands and feet can take anything. However, walking around in open-toed shoes and/or driving around in the sun can negatively impact your skin! It’s best to keep a bottle of moisturizer that contains at least SPF 30 when you’re out there getting it done.

Use Sunscreen...Always

There are very few tried and true tips to avoid premature aging signs, including wrinkles, sagging skin, and fine lines. Applying sunscreen is one of them. Try to apply sunscreen every single morning as well as just before any outdoor activities while the sun is out.

Tan the Healthy Way

We know that the sun is not our skin’s best friend. And yes, it might be tempting to just lie in a tanning bed or bathe in the sun. However, if you really want to achieve that glowing summer skin without the dangers that come from overexposure, try a self-tanner! You’ll be amazed at what a difference it can make.
